Dr. Goldberg was born in Mexico City, where he received his medical degree at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 1972. He completed his Pediatric internship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, and he completed his Pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where he received additional training in Hematology and Oncology.

Upon finishing his residency and fellowship, he joined the faculty at Baylor College of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics as an Assistant Clinical Professor and has mentored many medical students and residents through the years.

Over the years, his practice grew to accommodate the needs of the community.  At the end of 2009, he moved to his new location. Today, Pediatrics of Southwest Houston serves the greater Houston area with the help of Dr. Jennifer Macia, Dr. Lucy Graubard, and Dr. Naomi Levy.

Dr. Goldberg has been married since 1970 to his wife, Raquel.  They have two children, Michelle and Mark, and three grandchildren, Maya, Zev,  Leo, and Silvie. He loves to spend time with his family and to travel.

Outside of his work as a dedicated physician who cares for young patients, Dr. Goldberg finds great joy in spending quality time with his loved ones. His personal interests revolve around his close-knit family, which includes his beloved wife, two children, and five cherished grandchildren. When not occupied with his professional responsibilities, Dr. Goldberg eagerly embraces opportunities to embark on adventures with his family, often traveling to various destinations together. These precious moments spent with his loved ones are a testament to his dedication not just in his medical career, but also to fostering strong family connections and creating lasting memories.
